The Project:
This album was actually tracked, as a wonderful surprise, "behind Jill's back". A group of immensely talented and incredibly generous musicians, led by Jim Kimball, took guitar vocals that Jill had laid down and tracked about fourteen songs. These are the four that made it to final mix... for now. "Because I needed to make the statement that good things do happen to people." Jim explains. Jill had been diagnosed with cancer and was still in the healing process when Jim decided to gift this project to Jill, and the world. In addition to producing the project, Jim is featured on all the electric guitar work. |

Jill Welch's singing and songwriting style is known to leave a lasting impression and desire to hear more. From deep in the Panhandle of Texas, where she was born and raised, to the far reaches of Ireland's coast where she has ventured, along with many stops here, there, and in between, listeners are captivated by this artist. After a successful and life-changing decade in Nashville, Tennessee, she now resides in the LA area. Jill's gripping vocals, stellar lyrics, poignant guitar playing and the occasional move to the piano are a rare combination, reaching every demographic from age 8 to 80! Not an easy task nor a typical feat, but this is, no doubt, Jill's forte. She displays her gift with ease, opening hearts along the way to digest stories within brilliantly rendered songs that seem ironically meant for each listener in a individual way. Many have termed her a modern day psalmist who isn't afraid to express the heart of the matter to real people...living real life!
